Introduction

TheMont Blanc Granite: Vol 1 – Argentiere Basin guidebookis a selective rock climbing guide covering the Argentiere Basin in the Monte Blanc range. The Argentiere Basin is often described as Mont Blancs hidden gem with adventurous climbing high in the mountains on perfect granite rock. The guide covers 15 different areas and 99 routes around the Aiguille d Argentiere and Aiguille Verte, with many of the routes close to the Refuge d Argentiere.

For each of the15 areas there is approach information, a map, and a description of the character and style of climbing to be found. The 15 areas are as follows:
