Introduction

This new climbing guidebook covers all the best climbing around lake Malaren in mid-east Sweden about an hour and a half’s drive from Stockholm. The guidebook describes hundreds of both bolted and ‘trad’ routes of all grades and covers around 40 crags, from Uppsala in the north to the well known Tunaberg region in the south.

All the crags featured have easy-to-follow maps for those driving to a particular area, it is well illustrated with some great action photos and all the crags have detailed topos making route finding dead easy. General information is provided for the visiting climber and there’s a comprehensive history charting the development of climbing over recent years.
