Introduction

The Edelweiss Oxygen II Unicore is a high performing and durable half rope, designed for the harshest of environments. Part of the ‘Perform 3’ range, it promises lighter and improved handling along with increased shock absorption.This is achieved through dedicated research and development throughout the manufacturing process, encompassing the materials used, treatment and the construction of the rope itself.

Features

• Perform 3: uses the latest generation of polymer fibres to decrease the weight of the rope, creating a better handling and performing rope. This in turn means a lower impact force, meaning it is more comfortable to take a fall. The ratio of durability to shock absorption therefore tends to guarantee the endurance of the rope.
• HD Cover: Each thread is braided individually – meaning the rope surface is smoother, wear through abrasion is reduced, and the rope lifetime is extended
• Supereverdry: Treatment to repel water, dust and dirt – ropes are lighter, dry quicker and don’t tend to stiffen when the temperatures drop. This treatment is applied to all fibres throughout the core and sheath.
• Unicore: Bonds the ropes core and sheath without affecting suppleness or usability. Sheath slippage is therefore suppressed, if the sheath is damaged it will remain bound to the core – allowing the user to escape the system.
