TheEdelrid Giga Jul is a superversatile belay device that offers both a standardtuber device and an assisted brakingdevice in one.

With an intelligent hybrid design, theEdelrid Giga Jul can either be used in guide mode or assisted guide mode, which offers abrake boost for catching falls. Theassisted braking function can be activated or disabled by swivelling the device round, which is great when you are climbing mixed pitches. The Giga Jul offers the best of both worlds and is ideal for situation-dependent belaying and abseiling, especially in alpine terrain.
